The Ming City Wall
· The Ming city wall was built in 1366 along with the tendency of mountains and drainage in Nanjing.
· It consists of 350 million pieces of bricks and with a total 25.1 km length. It is the world's longest, largest and best preserved city wall, and now, it is included in the city emblem as a landmark.
· Famous spots: Zhonghua men, Xuanwu men, Zhongshan men, Shence men.
Confucian Temple Area (Fuzi Temple)
· It was originally constructed in the year of 1034 in the Song Dynasty to memorize Confucius.
· The attached buildings used to hold imperial examination which was called “Jiangnan Wenshu”.
· The Qin Huai River is flowing around, you can take a boat to appreciate the beauty of the both sides at night.
· The area around the temple also consists of a series of tourist shops, snack bars, restaurants and tea cafes.
Sun Yatsen Mausoleum (Zhongshan Mausoleum)
· Sun Yatsen mausoleum sits on the southern slope of the Zijin Mountain which was chosen by himself.
· The construction began in 1926 and was completed in 1929 when the remains of Dr. Sun was transported from Beijing and buried at the present site.
· The solemn mausoleum was designed in the shape of a liberty bell, intending to remind people never to get self-contented.
· Plane trees circled created a quiet and peaceful atmosphere that attracts millions of tourists there.
